    What a great initiative!

    Just to clarify, did all patients (regardless of presence of heel PU) have prophylactic Mepilex heel dressings applied? What was the frequency of changing this?

    Hi Pam,

    Yes that is correct. Everyone had mepilex heel applied as a preventative (as opposed to management of) measure. This was changed PRN but on average 3 x week. The main problem was integrity of the silicone interface as they were peeling it back at the start of each shift to complete a full skin integrity check.
